The College of Nursing’s Student Emergency Fund began in 2018, through a collective effort of faculty and staff who saw a means to help students cope with unforeseen financial needs that threatened to derail their studies. In 2019, students were able to apply for emergency help for the first time. Since that time, more than $16,000 has been given to students seeking this type of support. Without this help, many students would have had to leave their program of study before completion.
